Cold Therapy:
Store in the Freezer so that the pack is ready to use in case of injury. Approximately 1 hour is required for the gel to freeze before application. Remove and wrap the pack in a dry towel Apply on effected area.
When used as an ice pack it reduces muscle pain / spasms, swelling and or bruising after any type of trauma, fever, dental procedure or insect bite. It is best used in the first 48 hours when applied upon the affected area to reduce swelling around the injury, Ice treatment may also be used for chronic conditions before activity.
Hot Therapy:
Microwave: Place gel pack into microwave approximately for 30 – 45 seconds.
If the gel pack is frozen, bring it back to the room temperature and then microwave it accordingly.
Hot Water: Immerse the gel pack in boiled water for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 min check every min to see the correct temperature.
The pack is excellent for sore, stiff, nagging muscles, joint pain, chronic injuries of injuries with no inflammation. It can help to reduce muscle spasms, relieve pain, elevate blood flow and boost metabolism.
Avoid the use of heat treatment if the injury shows signs of swelling as the application of heat can promote unwanted blood flow to the injured area.
